Hunting apparel
Be prepared for a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions. Your best option is to dress in layers so you are able to adjust to temperature changes.
Weather averages for Woonsocket:
- October - low of 37 degrees with a high of 63 degrees
- November - low of 22 degrees with a high of 43 degrees
- December - low of 10 degrees with a high of 30 degrees
You need to protective eyewear and a blaze orange jacket, vest, or cap. These items are available on site.
Guns and ammo
- Gun: 12 gauge preferred, but 20 gauge shotgun also accepted
- Ammo: May be purchased on site or you may bring your own. The recommended shell is a 2 3/4" magnum in either 4, 5 or 6 shot.
Hunting license
You can purchase a license at any retailer in SD, online at the South Dakota Game Fish and Parks, or you may purchase them on site.
